Georgia, 30 years of diplomatic relations, as a new chapter in the centuries-old friendship between two nations
Today we celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Portugal. I have to say that these years have given great pleasure to the development and strengthening of relations between our nations, which contribute to the countries between our politicians, the challenges and differences between our politicians, the challenges and the countries between the our politicians, the challenges and the countries among our politicians. Portugal has always been a defender of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial authority, of our European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Portugal’s unwavering support for European integration and its constant exercises, together with other partners, to ensure Georgia’s sustainable development are invaluable contributors to the framework of regional security developments.
With great importance in the diversity and high level of the different areas between the two bilateral countries become more and more important and different levels and differences between the two countries.
Since re-establishing its independence in 1991, after 70 years of Soviet occupation, Georgia has struggled to maintain its independence and national independence. During that period, we faced three large-scale region of the Russian neighborhood. As a result of this, two historic parts of Georgia (Abkhazia and Samachablo (titled South Ossetia) are still under Russian occupation.
Georgia has always been founded on the fundamental values, which it defended the cornerstone of the modern European Union, namely protection, the rule of law, equality, democracy, human rights and freedoms. These same values began as the foundations for the Constitution of the First Democratic Republic of Georgia in 1921, which due to the progressive ideas it embraced was remarkable even in light of the Europe of the time. These values enshrined in the 1921 Constitution, which were indelibly engraved in our historical memory and, after the reconquest of independence, continue to guide us towards the historic house – the European European.
For all the latest results we’ve achieved over the decade, we owe a lot to a policy designed by the EU. The entry into force of the Association Agreement, as well as the DFTA, has opened a qualitatively new page on Georgia’s path towards European Integration.
In recent years the entry into force of Ukraine, three years from Europe, from the EU, from the EU, from three European countries, from a cooperation with the European Union, known format of cooperation with the Union European Union, known as the Trio Association. Today, due to the special condition, the three countries are awaiting EU membership candidacy status. Now, it’s the turn of the EU member states. It is essential that the decisions taken on the next countries for integration will be three countries decide on the merits and with the entire geopolitical context. Whether they will be legitimate back in this process, once again interpreted as the Russian logic of having the right and the sphere of influence still, to participate and drag us into the annex of certainty and certainty. It will also encourage and feed Russian propaganda, which will direct public opinion in aspirations. On the other hand, granting three partners the status of representatives to the EU would further increase its reform phase, strengthening the population’s allegiance to EU reforms.
To develop, at this moment, I say, that I represent my great nation in Portugal, and I will spare no exercises to develop all the activities of our biral activities.
