Belarus Cup. “Gomel” in the decisive match with an advantage of 11 goals defeated BNTU-BelAZ and became the owner of the trophy for the fourth time in a row

The ongoing national federation of hosting the “final four” in different cities, the national federation of hosting the Women’s Cup Novogrudok – the capture of the city in the history of Belarus, the president of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

Today, about 30 thousand people live in it, but the only tribune of the local FOK was covered quite tightly. From Grodno and Gomel came solid support groups by handball standards, which attract a noisy entourage.

For many years Gomel and BNTU-BelAZ have been fighting for titles in Belarus. In general, in recent years, Gomel players have won more often, but in the Cup the advantage is even more obvious – 6 titles in the last 7 years. Last year, by the way, sweetened the pill from losing the “polytechnic” championship.

Although the Cup did not even have to take revenge – BNTU was knocked out by Berestye and did not reach the final.

It is clear that women from Brest fall within the sphere of responsibility of Nikita Vailupov. Despite the fact that “Gomel” fell to them already in the semi-finals.

And so far, things have been going well. The Brest players commendably tried to play fast handball, not getting involved in positional manifestations, making attacks on the backs, using a fast center. But in defense it turned out much less – experienced Gomel players had no problems with its passage.

Only two goals were won by the favorites by the break, which made us wait for the second half with great expectations. But “Gomel” added to the defense and quickly left the intrigue in a smoldering state.

BNTU, predictably, easily dealt with the “Gorodnichanka” – The final day is used 100 percent of the pre-launch scenarios.

The brightest match of the entire tournament took place in the game for third place. Handball players from Grodno, who had been playing with a limited clip throughout the tournament, with the support of the enchanting keeper Anna Pashko, were in the lead for most of the meeting, but in the end they gave up. And yet, let’s strengthen the will of Sergei Kambur’s wards compared the score under the siren. Overtime?

Vaylupov’s right to a time-out was detained, which was promptly detained. The referees will have a clear idea that the attack will occur in 5 seconds (although the sign was on the referee table even earlier). 29.56.

A simple combination with Anastasia Sivukha’s throw, a throw from 13 meters, a rebound from the bar and Pashko’s back – and the ball is in the net! “Berestye” even managed to massively retreat before the girls saw the signals of the referees: the ball crossed the form after the siren. Like, if the projectile hit the goal immediately, and not after the rebound, then yes. And so this stolen scoreboard second “Gorodnichanka” and saved.

it has been established that Berestye still has more strength for the additional five minutes – the first segment of the Brest team and heavy ones. But the women from Grodno again found the remnants of reserves in themselves and watched in delight already with their goal under the siren – Veronika Rusilko scored.

After the game, there were many disputes, congresses, video views of the key episode on the sidelines. It seemed that the young coach from Brest was quite right in his claims, all the more so by improving the skills of his hands it became similar to how he fixed the goal. But no one, of course, will change the result of the match.

The main match did not live up to expectations. Objectively, this year “Gomel” is felt much stronger than its eternal inclusions. Alexander Madzharov has a longer bench, a more stable goalie line, and a more tenacious defense.

Basically, all these factors affected the final match. BNTU played without a left-hander as a welterweight and only four fielders in the back line. The leader and top scorer Alina Kishko frankly did not have a shot – Yulia Kuntsevich easily read all her ideas.

Gomel was far from guaranteed ahead, but against the backdrop of the general failures of the Polytechnic University, it was quite acceptable to win and that was enough. Lada Samoylenko, even local failures did not reveal serious problems.

If “Gomel” manages to keep such a master next year, the chances of being useful in the united league with the Russians will increase markedly.
