Pride Marseille 2022 will last two weeks
Two weeks of demands, parties and workshops of all kinds, anyone? In any case, this is what the 2022 version of the Marseille pride offers, which will take place from June 17 to July 2.
For the first time, the event will therefore last fifteen days with more than forty events, an exception on national territory. ” We are probably the only ones to do that in the big cities of France, in Paris they don’t do all that explains Stéphane Bernard, president of Pride Marseille.
The two-day return of the Electro Festival
The Longchamp Pride Live Festival, an electro festival, will also be held at the Palais Longchamp on Friday 1uh and Saturday July 2. Last year, it could not be held on a single day because of the pandemic. Among the first artists announced: Maud Geffray – RAG – Barbara Butch – DJ Miss Lucy Ward – LyLou Dallas DJ – Abstraxion b2b Ttristana but also surprise artists and guests who promise to be ” exceptional “. A paid evening on Friday (10 to 20 euros depending on the date of purchase) and another free on Saturday.
The Pride march will be held on Saturday July 2. Remember that since 1993, LGBTI+ activists from Marseille and its region have been marching through the streets of the city center demanding their demands for equal rights. The organizers, who are hoping for 30,000 people, have a watchword for this edition: “Straight into the eyes”. A phrase that stems from their demands and that they want to unite ” to bring together LGBTI+ communities and appeal to the general public “.
Another novelty is the launch of a support fund at the end of the year. Part of the profits from the Longchamp Pride Live Festival will be reversed to support certain projects of local associations and collectives.
