Open House Prague: Goose murder or naval battle in the bathtub, find out where and how radio games are filmed
“At Studio B, we reveal various secrets of how the hoofs of horses are made, what the space looks like – the so-called plein air, from where the resulting sound is unresponsive, as if the people were standing outside,” explains Karel Zajíc, the program leader.
The drama studio includes many props, in one room you will find stairs, a bed or a bathtub for filming naval battles. Various sounds and noises are created here.
“Once upon a time, it was necessary to film a murder that involves someone stabbing someone with a knife. The housekeepers thought they would buy a big goose, they liked the sound of the goose piercing the most. They stabbed the goose and then baked it. In a fortnight, they called the inventory department and asked where the goose for 700 crowns was, that they needed to record it. Apparently they thought it was some stuff. The fellow musicians were quite watching, “laughs Karel Zajíc.
