A vehicle was hit by a train this Saturday, around 9:30 a.m. near Gragnague in Haute-Garonne. The motorist is seriously injured but his life is not in danger. He was taken care of by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
According to the first testimonies collected on the spot, the collision would have taken place at the height of a level crossing. Despite the horns and the barrier, the driver of a car would have revealed himself in the middle of the tracks. A train dependent on Mazamet in Toulouse passed at this time and could not avoid the collision.

A dozen firefighters and gendarmes from the community of Union brigades are on site. They are looking after 106 passengers. The town hall and the SNCF organize themselves for their supply of water bottles.
