Two pranks in three minutes
“Grünau fought back bravely. In the end, however, they had no chance”, BSK coach Andreas Fötschl. Two quick goals brought Bischofshofen comfortably ahead just before the half-time gossip: first the experienced Mayer was the quickest to act after a stab in the penalty area (36′), before three minutes later Verbnyy completed an excellent play on the right attacking side after a Begovic pass in an exemplary manner.
“Schnellgang and summer football”
With the two-goal advantage, Rückenen allowed the guests to take it even easier as the game progressed. “Slow pace and summer football were probably the two buzzwords,” said Fötschl, who didn’t see anything exciting in the second half. “A few half-chances, yes, but you could tell that our eyes are already on the cup final.” With the fourth win in the regional league spring, the BSK secured fourth place in the table, Wals-Grünau remained in last place without a win.
