Holiday, Norway Holiday | The bay at the top for those who want to go on holiday in Norway
After two summers strongly marked by a coronary pandemic, four out of ten Norwegians plan to go on holiday abroad this summer, a recent survey shows. Many also want to go on holiday here at home.
Viken, Vestland and Telemark and Vestfold top the list of travel destinations in Norway.
At the same time, the survey shows that Norwegians this year have set aside 28 percent more money for summer holidays than last year.

Few will take the whole holiday abroad
1.32 Norwegians in the age group 18–88 years participated in the survey, which was conducted between 5 and 0 May by Respons Analyze on behalf of Sparebank 1.
There, 39 per cent answered that they will holiday abroad this summer, of which a proportion of 4 per cent answered that the entire holiday is spent abroad. 35 percent plan to spend parts of the summer holidays outside Norway’s borders.
Does not travel far
Denmark tops the list of foreign destinations, according to the survey. 22 percent of planned summer holidays in Denmark. While 21 percent answered that they are going to Spain, 20 percent will holiday in Sweden.
79 percent have plans for a Norwegian holiday this summer. While 41 percent plan to spend the holidays at home where they live, 37 percent are going on a trip to the cabin. 26 percent respond to the summer holidays consist of visiting family.
