- German media confirm what Nau.ch reported on Tuesday.
What Nau.ch already reported on Tuesday is now becoming more and more concrete in Germany: According to a report by “Kicker”, André Breitenreiter is a candidate for coaching at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
The Bundesliga club is dealing with the Swiss champion coach of FC Zurich and has already contacted him. TSG did not comment on this.
With nine games without a win at the end of the season, the Kraichgauers had lost a place in the European Cup as a newcomer to the table, before that TSG had even been on course for the premier class. Coach Sebastian Hoeneß therefore had to leave this week after two years.
Breitenreiter rose to the Bundesliga in 2014 with SC Paderborn and in 2017 with Hannover 96. In between, he coached FC Schake 04. After a break between 2019 and 2021, he was hired in Zurich and led FC to the title. His contract runs until the summer of 2023.
