Toulouse: young pickpockets arrested after spinning
Spotted by Tisséo security teams, in the metro, two young women were arrested by the police after at least two pickpocketing in the center of Toulouse.
Near the machines for buying tickets, then behind a woman whose bag, closed at the start, was seen open at the end of her ascent by the escalator of Jeanne d’Arc station, two young women were spotted by the Tisséo video teams, Thursday at lunchtime in the Toulouse metro.
Attentive to pickpocketing, security guards alerted the police and officers from the anti-crime squad found the two suspects, who appeared to be pregnant, in Place Wilson. Rue Alsace-Lorraine, they were also seen buying clothes. Then they matched very closely with a 60-year-old man whose wallet they tried to steal. They opened her satchel but the police didn’t let them go any longer.
Arrested, these young ladies from the former Eastern countries claim to be 13 and 15 years old, information that the investigators were trying to verify on Friday morning. During their arrests, they had in their possession the wallet of the woman “harpooned” in the metro. The clothes purchased with a stolen bank card were returned to the store and the two copies were taken into custody at the central police station and interviewed by investigators from the Right Bank judicial support group.
