San Marino Academy closes at home with Tavagnacco • newsrimini.it

Sugar Mizzy May 20, 2022

The last match of the season will be at home First women’s team. Thanks to a recovery program that has gone up to the threshold of the month of May, only a few weeks (April 16) have passed since the last crossing between the Titans and the Tavagnacco, their opponent also with regard to Sunday’s leave. Recent memories of a victory built in comeback, which Conte’s girls, in the two subsequent trips, were unable to dare to follow. For two races now, however, the San Marino Academy she returned to smile, managing to climb up to the third step of the standings, in cohabitation with Chievo Verona but with the advantage of direct clashes. The goal of the Sunday leave, therefore, can only be to close with a flourish, protecting a position that in the blue-white environment would certainly not be unwelcome.

“As the season went, I think a third place would be a very good result – confirmation Francesca Papaleo -. We have to be completely honest with ourselves: at the beginning we hoped for something more, but the journey presented obstacles and difficulties, so a podium would be a very positive goal for us. We want to finish with a flourish, completing the three-game winning streak. Something important to repay everyone, us players as well as the staff and the club, for the efforts made. Unfortunately, during the season we lacked continuity a bit, but for this finale we are aiming for the maximum we have available. “

Continuity that was a bit of a sore point because – continues the former Cesena and Hellas Verona striker – “Sometimes we lacked serenity a little. We have quality but we have not always been able to express them. In the last few weeks, however, we play lighter, and the results are visible. This serenity arrived late, unfortunately, and is not the daughter of who knows what upheaval. Sometimes during the season, we played well but we didn’t reap the rewards. This can undermine self-confidence and make the remainder of the journey even more difficult.

Francesca was the author of excellent performances in the two victories with Cesena and Pro Sesto. And she too, in a personal capacity, wants to close in crescendo. “I’ve been feeling good lately and the feedback on the pitch is coming – says the 11 titana -. I am more serene and this state of mind gives me a way to express myself better. For example, I bet the opponent more often or look for the play in the last few meters of the field. I am happy with my path and I would like to have a good race with Tavagnacco too. A tough match awaits us, against a team that forced us to pursue the first leg. They have history and quality, as well as a nice mix of young and experienced. They will come down to play it and we will have to be good at starting the race on the right foot. But I’m sure we will. “

San Marino-Tavagnacco Academy will be valid for the 26th and last day of the championship of B series. The race, which will be followed by the awarding of the third “Titana of the month” of this season finale, will be played on Sunday at the Acquaviva stadiumwith start fish at 15:00. It will be live on www.elevensports.com
