Naples, between two clans pact: murder for control of the territory
A pact, concrete even with a murder, between two criminal associations in the Neapolitan area for the control of the territory. Among those involved in the investigation was a man Pasquale Di Balsamo, who later died in a shooting on April 29 last. In Acerra (Naples), Naples and Nuoro, the military carried out an order of custody in prison against six people, issued by the investigating judge of the Naples Court at the request of the localization of the Anti-Mafia District Directorate.

The measures were issued against as many suspects seriously suspected, for various reasons, of the crimes of concurrence in murder, illegal possession of weapons and receiving stolen goods, aggravated by and by the mafia purposes. The investigative activity allowed, in summary, to document the existence and operation of two criminal groups, one formed in Afragola and coagulated around Cosimo Nicolì, aged 45, and the other led by Bruno Avventurato, aged 47. years, operating in Acerra. The two associations – according to the accusation – in agreement with each other conceived and organized the murder of Pasquale Tortora, a prominent member of the homonymous clan active in Acerra and Casalnuovo di Napoli, which took place on May 20, 2020. Adventurato had provided the necessary logistical support to the assassins, while Nicolì had taken care of finding the killers. For this murder, the carabinieri have already arrested the perpetrators of the crime. Double motive for the murder: to avenge the killing of Giuseppe Avventurato, brother of Bruno and former head of the homonymous, for which a pact between the two Camorra was held responsible, aimed at controlling the joint control of illicit trafficking in the Acerra area. Among those involved in the investigation Di Balsamo Pasquale, killed last April 29 in a shooting in Acerra between Di Balsamo himself and a 21-year-old, who also died as a result of the firefight. According to investigators, Pasquale Di Balsamo had done his utmost to provide “support” to Pasquale Tortora’s killers.
