Hungary can receive HUF 8 billion in EU emergency aid
European Commission may soon provide EUR 21.1 million (HUF 8 billion) in emergency aid to those coming to Hungary from war-torn countries
Writes Folk word.
According to the paper, the emergency aid comes from the EU’s home affairs fund, and a resolution stipulates that 30 percent of the funds related to government agencies should go to NGOs, local and governments involved in the regional care of Ukrainian refugees.
For the sake of speed, the European Commission will not release the money on the basis of actual costs, but on the basis of the results, ie the government must show what it intends to spend.
According to the Ukrainian Border Guard, more people are returning to Ukraine in days than they are fleeing.
