The Upper Seriana Valley will lose a priest in the coming months, because of the departures don Ruben Capovilla And don Ivan Alberti they will be replaced by a single priest, who will have to take care of their parish communities. The choice of the Bishop of Bergamo Msgr. Francesco Beschi it has indeed fallen upon don Flavio Grittiwhich becomes the new parish priest of Gromo (Parish so far led by Don Ivan), Gandellino and Gromo San Marino (both run by Don Ruben).
The move of the three priests will take place after the summer. Don Ruben, 41, from Cerete, will move to Val Cavallina, Endine and Valmaggiore. Don Ivan, 51 years old from Curnasco, will go further, a Paladina.
Their successor Don Flavio was born on 24 August 1976 in Trescore Balneario, but he comes from the Parish of Montello. After the years spent in the seminary, he received priestly ordination on June 2, 2001. The then Bishop Msgr. Roberto Amadei he immediately appointed him as inter-parish vicar of four communities in the Upper Seriana Valley: Parre, Ponte Nossa, Ponte Selva and Premolo. After eight years spent on the banks of the river Serio, in 2009 Fr Flavio went abroad as a missionary in Switzerland. Last year the Bishop recalled him to the Diocese by appointing him as parish vicar of Stezzano….
