Garmin’s news at the Venice Motor Show – Corriere.it
From 28 May to 5 June 2022 it will return with its second edition on Venice Boat Show, an event dedicated to lovers of the sea which will be held at the Arsenale, a symbolic place of the city and its naval industry. For the occasion, Garmin Italia, a company of Garmin Ltd, a world leader in satellite navigation, confirmed its participation with a stand entirely dedicated to on-board instrumentation for boats of all sizes.

Garmin technicians will be there to explain the secrets and give advice for the best use of their products, but there will also be cartography experts to help navigate along the safest routes of the new Garmin Navionics + and on-board entertainment, like the Fusion hifi systems, to enjoy every moment of your day at sea. At the stand it will also be possible to test the innovative EmpirBus system, useful for the domotic management of IoT services on board the ship directly from the display on the bridge. Indeed Garmin has been carrying out an integration project for years nowdashboard cleanliness and ease of use to manage everything you want from a single display, achieving maximum technological advancement.
Technology
For this objective, the year launched Garmin’s Surround View, the first mooring system, a true revolution for the nautical world. It is equipped with 6 cameras, installed directly flush with the hull, which simplify the mooring maneuver with visual sensors and clear and understandable images. Precisely on the occasion of the Venice Boat Show, it will be possible to test this innovative technology on the leading boats of the main shipyards. Another level signed by Garmin to apply to the technological world of fishing: developed on the new Seagame 250cc of the Big Game world champion Antonello Salvileading exponent of the fishing universe and member of the Garmin Fishing Team, which has chosen the US brand for its trips in the open sea.
Garmin’s event
From the display of the Gpsmap 8400 series, to the Radar Fantom 18x, passing through the Apollo stereo for onboard entertainment and, above all, the EmpirBus technology capable of meeting all the needs of the most demanding fishermen. This boat will be the protagonist of an event exclusive presented by Garmin, which will be held on Sunday 29 May at 15:30 at the quay in front of pier P1. It will be an opportunity to see closely the innovations that for this example of boating, which has chosen Garmin as Main Technical Partner, immersed in the splendid setting of the Venice Arsenal.
