Collect parcels from neighbors in exchange for compensation. The young Parisian company “Cosy colis” has decided to reschedule delivery. And among the first cities to be able to benefit from this brand new service: Toulouse. By next July, this brand new service will therefore land in the department. But for the Cozy Colis service to work, relay neighbors are needed. This is why the company has already been offering people to register as a neighbor relay for a few weeks. “The idea is a bit like your neighbor becoming a parcel pick-up point. This allows him to pick up your package for you in the event of absence or unforeseen circumstances,” says Noé Bouhlel, member of the Cozy Colis team. In concrete terms, the person who ordered will then be able to directly and securely contact the person who picked up their order.

But this service also makes it possible to re-establish links between neighbors to make ends meet. “Carriers save thanks to our system. Indeed, they optimize their deliveries even better and avoid hundreds of additional kilometers by not returning to deliver a person. This represents 15%, the number of rescheduled deliveries in France. Delivery groups like DHL pay us for the service provided by Cozy Colis. With this money, we donate 90 cents per package recovered, ”continues Noé.

Up to 200 euros per month

In practice, “the relay neighbour” gives its availability on the application for potential deliveries. To participate, this person must be available at least two days in a row. In exchange for this service rendered, the trusted neighbour, member of the network, will be able to earn up to 200 euros per month. With the development of telework, the young company to develop its network of trusted account neighbors on the self-employed but also young people or retirees who may be available to collect parcels for their absent neighbors. “The city of Toulouse was selected because it is a city where the delivery rate via relay points is the highest”, continues the member of Cozy Colis.

The application will also be deployed in Biarritz, Bayonne and in the Gers in a few months. On the other hand, the customer who ordered does not pay anything. This service is completely free.
