The Kazakh low-cost airline FlyArystan will launch a direct connection between Prague and the Kazakh Aktau from June 12. Departures of the Airbus A320 for 180 passengers are scheduled every Sunday, with a flight on Thursday from July 6. The carrier chose the Czech Republic as its first destination in Europe.
“Before the pandemic, Kazakhstan was the Czech Republic’s largest key partner in Central Asia. I believe that the sudden launch of flights will positively affect not only trade and economic relations between the two countries, but also make it easier for Czech tourists to discover the beauties of Kazakhstan, ”says FlyArystan Sales and Marketing Director Madina Buzhinová.
The journey to the city on the shores of the Caspian Sea will take about five and a half hours from Prague. “Václav Havel Prague Airport is gaining a completely new and unconventional destination. For the first time since the pandemic, there is also a resumption of connections with Kazakhstan, which is another step towards the gradual expansion of the network of destinations at the level of 2019. We expect more than 25,000 passengers per year, ”adds Prague Airport Aviation Sales Director. Jaroslav Filip.
