New “Furious Speed” will be filmed in Portugal, advances local newspaper – Atualidade
The shooting of “Furious Speed 10” will pass through Portugal.
The news has been advanced by the newspaper of the Centerwhich cites the Centro Portugal Film Commission (CPFC), a non-profit organization created in 2016 to promote conditions that make the Centro Region a preferred destination worldwide for film productions.
The CPFC source did not provide data, but highlighted that the shooting should focus on the North and Center in the Lisbon region. The production will have already visited and tested in some places in the region of Viseu and the old IP5 could be one of the chosen scenarios.
This morning, the mayor of Vila Real, Rui Santos, announced that the city of Quinta and other parts of the region would be the stage for filming for a Hollywood production, linked to “high speed”, which will coincide with the Circuit International between 1 and 3 July.
He also mentioned that about 600 people will be in Vila Real for “almost two months”, associated with these filmings and that electricians, carpenters, warehouse owners, hotels and results are being contacted to provide services to “this producer”.
To be confirmed, Portugal and Spain join the international plan of “Furious Speed 10”, which began in England and has already recorded scenes with Jason Momoa in Rome (Italy). It will be the biggest film production in the past for our country: the budget approaches 300 million dollars.
With its premiere in theaters announced for May 19, 2023, the cast includes Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa and Charlize Theron (both as villains), in addition to Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson (from the series “Reacher) and the Portuguese Daniela Melchior.
Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker and Cardi B are also confirmed to return.
Directing is Frenchman Louis Leterrier, who replaced Justin Lin, director of five films and who dropped out at the end of the first week of shooting due to alleged disagreements with Vin Diesel.
