Joshua Camera starts construction of penthouses with a view of Amsterdam-Rhine Canal
The two penthouses are approximately 160 square meters in surface area and the apartments under the penthouses are also almost 90 square meters each. All apartments have their own south-facing balcony and the residents of the penthouses have a luxurious roof terrace with a view over Amsterdam.
Modern design
“The name ‘The Pearl of Amsterdam’ does not come completely out of the blue”, explains Joshua Camera from. “The modern design of the building, together with the light facade, can create a luxurious, calm appearance. our goal to make the building an eye-catcher in the neighborhood has in any case succeeded.”
When building the residential tower, PEX Real Estate paid special attention to sustainability. After all, more attention is paid to this, especially when building new homes. “Separating waste and installing solar panels means you no longer meet the standards,” says Camera. “When developing this complex, we are therefore also making advanced installations that may be residential.”
Unlike many other parts of Amsterdam, the new residential tower is easily accessible by both car and public transport. The Cruquiuseiland is a few minutes away from the Ring A10 and tram line 7 is also around the corner. As a result, the center of Amsterdam can be reached within ten minutes.
Joshua Camera: “The Pearl of Amsterdam is a great addition to this area”
Amsterdam has been looking for places to build new homes for years. The city council of Amsterdam decided in 2008 to build it on Cruquiuseiland. In the meantime, much has already been demolished and built, and hundreds more homes and business spaces will be added over the years. Not only houses and residential towers, but also theatres, schools and catering establishments flourish in this part of the Eastern Docklands.
Joshua Camera sees a fast-growing, robust urban district: Camera to the old industrial area. “Very nice things have been built here in recent years and the ‘De Pearl of Amsterdam’ is a nice addition, fitting in with the image of this area.”
