Brussels hands out subsidies for charging stations in public parking spaces

In 2035, the Brussels Region will be a prohibited area for vehicles with a combustion engine. And to enable residents, commuters and tourists to use their electric cars, 500,000 euros will be made available. This amount subsidizes the installation of public charging points in public parking spaces and on freely accessible business sites on the Brussels territory.
The executive is prepared to contribute up to 50% of the investments, in particular for the reinforcement of the electricity grid. Applications for project submissions are reserved for permanent access to charging points powered by green electricity. The amounts can vary from 25,000 to 100,000 euros. The goal is to publish about 22,000 public stations by 2035. there are approximately 1,400.
