Sucic incident: Involved statements on the service area dispute
After the Hütteldorfer’s home defeat against champions Red Bull Salzburg, a small group of Rapid fans provided a more than unnecessary aftermath at a motorway service area. One of the cases is expressed in the kicker to the beer attack on the Salzburg gold goalscorer Luka Sucic.

The fact that Rapid loses against Red Bull Salzburg is no longer a message with great news value. Of the last 15 encounters with the record champions from Vienna, the series champions from Mozart’s city won 14, the 1-0 win in the Allianz Stadium last Sunday was Salzburg’s eighth win in the series against Hütteldorfer. A half-strong Rapid fan nevertheless ensures that there is a slight uproar in fan forums and the media even days after the match.
Matchday 31 – Master Group
The first thing the “Krone” had written was a “beating attack” on the Salzburg goal scorer Luka Sucic. The 19-year-old playmaker is said to have been attacked by a small group of Rapid supporters at the Steinhäusl motorway service area, it was said on Tuesday. As the day progressed, more and more details about the incident became known, also because one of the activities in the fan forum Austrian football reported to speak. The original allegations were at least defused as a result.
Attacked Sucic in the car with beer
Alex K. also commented on the inglorious action against kicker. Around 10 p.m., he and three friends saw “two men with the Red Bull logo on their shirts at the Steinhäusl rest stop on the western autobahn and scolded them a little.” They were not aware that one of the two was Sucic. “If it had been a Wöber, Adeyemi or Junuzovic, you would have known he was dying anyway. But none of us recognize Sucic from his looks.”
After Sucic and his companion had returned the argument, one of Alex K’s friends “open the passenger door and cunningly poured the beer in the heat of the moment”. K. himself and another friend of his were standing about 20 meters away, the fourth man was sitting in the car. Alex K. also expressly points out that the beer shaker “would never hit anyone” and that there was a lot of alcohol involved in his game – except for the driver.
Sucic, who was not on the team bus with his teammates due to a doping test, but was in the car with a club employee, continued the journey to Salzburg after the beer attack. On Monday evening, the police of Alex K., with whose car the group of four had been traveling, made representations. The investigations were started “due to suspicion of property damage”.
