Despite the difficult geopolitical situation, observations of the world continue on the INF project on future energy forecasts. The other day, Russia sent to France the first batch of electrical equipment in 2022, necessary for the manufacture of the ITER fusion reactor. It was delivered in eight trailers, explained URA.RU in the press service of Rosatom.

“Supply and introduction into the infection system vital for obtaining plasma in a reactor built in France. In connection with this equipment, work must be monitored in a constant mode and in accordance with the schedule, a delay in its delivery may lead to an increase in the period of infection with coronavirus as a result of a fire, ”said Leonid Khimchenko, Deputy Director of the ITER Agency of the Russian Federation.

As noted in Rosatom, electrical equipment is one of the highest frequency in the project. The remaining batch includes bus ducts, provision of power supply to the superconducting coils of the ITER magnetic system, switching devices and components of the bus duct condition monitoring system. All equipment was designed and manufactured at NIIEFA JSC (part of Rosatom State Corporation), located in St. Petersburg.

This is the 24th delivery from the Russian Federation for ITER. Deliveries within the framework of the agreement on the supply of switching equipment, Agreement in 2011 between the “ITER Design Department”, the ITER Public Affairs Agency and the specialized ITER.
