“On our legs”, Rimini remembers Falcone and Borsellino

Sugar Mizzy May 18, 2022

Thirty years after the Capaci massacre, the municipality of Rimini presented “On our legs. The memory against the mafias“, the review of events that brought together organizations, associations, educational and cultural institutions to celebrate the anniversary and reflect together on the phenomenon of organized crime and how it has changed over time. The combination of legality and sport is the basis of cultural initiatives and training courses involving the Departments of Legality, Sport and Educational Policies and the Observatory on organized crime.

A moment entitled “Sprouts of Legality”Will be on Monday 23 with a ceremony in which a minute of silence is expected in the victims of the Capaci massacre – immediately after the bearing of the plate – exactly at the time of the attack, that is at 5:58 pm. Afterwards, from 6.30 pm, at the portico of Palazzo dell’Arengo, the traveling exhibition will be inaugurated in which it will represent the icons of the victims of the mafia, created by Institutes “Einaudi – Molari ”and“ Belluzzi – Da Vinci ”. The exhibition will be part of a widespread itinerary in the cultural places of the City of Rimini, such as the City Museum, the Civic Library and the Lettimi Musical Institute and will be visible to the public until 19 July, thus symbolically covering the 57 days which in 1992 elapsed between the murder of Giovanni Falcone and Francesca Morvillo together with members of the escort and the massacre of via D’Amelio in which he died Paolo Borsellino with his five police officers.
