om | OM video: discover the collector’s jersey made in Marseille that the players will wear against Strasbourg
The Olympians will not be wearing their jersey for next season this Saturday evening against Strasbourg at the Vélodrome (9 p.m.). If the last day of Ligue 1 is often the occasion for the equipment to unveil the tunic for the following season, Puma has made a different choice this year since the proteges of Jorge Sampaoli evaluate with an “OM Made” outfit: a collector’s jersey made in Marseille that players will only wear once.
The equipment manufacturer relies on the expertise of the Marseille textile company Fil rouge to design and manufacture this outfit in its factory in La Capelette (10th). “We are proud to present this jersey which brings together our talents: made in Marseille by Marseillais”rejoices Pablo Longoria, the president of OM, according to whom this recycled polyester jersey “gives meaning to the impact of the club in our city, while reiterating our eco-responsible commitments”.
On the design side, this jersey takes the model of this season’s home jersey with reversed colors. However, it will cost ten euros more since it is already displayed at 100 euros on the official club shop. It could, however, acquire a certain sentimental value if the Olympians manage to qualify for the Champions League by wearing it.
