Legislative in Toulouse: a new rally for the alliance on the left
The one from the Tous pour Toulouse neighborhoods decided to join the NUPES. Its president, Ahmed Dahrour, withdrew his candidacy for the 4th constituency.
At the beginning of May, in our columns, Ahmed Dahrour, the president of the association Tous Pour Toulouse, who had presented himself for the municipal elections of 2020 on the list of Pierre Cohen, and had made an alliance with Georges Méric (PS) at the Départementales de l A last, declared his candidacy for the June legislative elections in the 4th district of Haute-Garonne, a “citizen” candidacy which then distanced itself from the Insoumis and the Archipel Citoyen movement.
Since then, things have changed with the New Popular, Ecological and Social Union, the alliance, behind Jean-Luc Mélenchon, of the Insoumis, ecologists, the PS and PCF. “Something historic is happening. There are more things that bring us together than things that divide us”, explains Ahmed Dahrour who chose, with his association, after discussion with the NUPES formations, to no longer be a candidate and to be part of the alliance. .
Concretely, Tous pour Toulouse includes campaign coordination. In the field, its members will be active in the 4th district to support François Piquemal and Christine Arrighi in the 9th.
