Deník Employee League: The best Prague police officers were in Čakovice
This team qualified for the next tournament phase, which will culminate in a grand national final. The TJ Avia Čakovice club, which will celebrate its 110th anniversary in a month, hosted the Employee League tournament for the third time.
Despite the hot weather, the opponents fought one hundred percent.“For the third time in Prague, for the third time in Čakovice and for the third time an amazing tournament. Nevertheless, the footballers did not escape injuries this year, nevertheless the Deník Employee League was again well prepared for me as a spectator, as well as entertaining. In addition, the environment of the Avie Čakovice football complex is beautiful and the club, led by Petr Rosen-hofer, can take good care of spectators and teams and provide a well-prepared field and facilities, ”praised Martin Rumler, editor-in-chief of regional dailies in Prague and Central Bohemia.
The footballers of the individual teams enjoy the matches even though the hot sun, like the game system, was relentless. Sometimes it sparkled a bit on the field, sometimes a paramedic had to go into action, but the whole tournament was accompanied by a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Medals for the best teams.“Traditionally, it was a pleasant meeting, where in a larger case it is not a question, but a meeting and participation,” said Jan Pátka from the Support and Guarantee Agricultural and Forestry Fund team.
This team does not attack the top places, but participates enthusiastically through considerable sports and always enjoys the tournament. “Due to our work, which is more administrative – providing support, control and evaluation of applications, we have more female staff. Finding ten footballers is a problem, but finding ten enthusiasts is no longer the case, “Jan Pátek continued.
And he has a plan next time. “Finally we scored a goal, next time there could be two and maybe some point,” he added with a smile.
We thank all the football players, referees, fans, helpers, in short, all those who can play on the relaxed Prague league round Deník. And we look forward to the next one!

We wanted to advance, says the support of the winning team, Patrik Keseli
The winner of the Prague round of the Deník Employee League was the team of the Regional Police Headquarters of the Capital City of Prague, full of great footballers. “After the experience from the first year of the tournament, advancement was our goal,” admitted Patrik Keseli, a member of the winning team.
How did you enjoy the tournament?
We graduated for the second time. It’s a pity that this time the cast was weaker, the covid was a bit better and there was more competition. But for us, the way to victory was easier. The only one who competed with us was the Transport Company.
So did the purpose of the tournament?
Yes, it served its purpose. Companies meet and play football. Too bad a smaller number of teams, as I mentioned.
Patrik Keseli, goalkeeper of the winning team. Was the procedure the goal?
After the experience from the first tournament, when we touched everything, the process was our goal.
Are there most football players on your team?
Yes. Everyone we have entered is still playing various competitions.
The police are very active in sports. Where is the best football played among police officers in the Czech Republic?
It is our regional headquarters. (smiling) We have won the Czech Republic championship several times. These tournaments haven’t been held lately, so I don’t know what the quality is now, but lately we’ve always won the championship. Northern Moravia and the Olomouc Region had good teams, it is different. Since I attended the Czech Republic Championship from the beginning, I can evaluate. Quality goes up every year and it’s getting harder to win.
