The German metal band Rammstein at the airport in Letňany, Prague, upset their loud show full of pyrotechnic and light effects of tens of thousands of fans. The band vs. the main author of the lyrics, singer Till Lindemann, the son of the poet and writer Werner Lindemann, led, reproduced a two-hour concert called Music to the Royal Fireworks by Georg Friedrich Händel. Fans, according to whom the organizers arrived 60,000, also saw older hits such as Links 2-3-4, Puppe or Deutschland. Traditionally, Du riechst so gut from their debut album Herzeleid from 1995 was also present. Before the first addition, the band ended with the concert debut of the title track of their new album Zeit.
After a short break, the band moved to the second stage in the middle of the stands, where an acoustic version of Engel from the Sehnsucht album from 1997 was heard accompanied by the light of thousands of mobile phones from the audience.
Rammstein’s energy performance in Prague started their European tour. The second added concert will take place at the same venue on Monday. In the role of lead band, the female piano duo Jatekok performed again before Rammstein.
Rammstein was founded in 1994 by musicians from the eastern part of Germany. The band’s name is reminiscent of the city of Ramstein, where the United States Air Force headquarters and headquarters are located in Europe and where dozens of people died during an air show in the late 1980s.
