Part of the house collapsed in Údolní Street in Prague 4. The building is under reconstruction and no one was supposed to be in it, according to the rescue services, which was confirmed by cynologists who searched the rubble with dogs on the spot. They found no person in them.
On Tuesday evening, the components of the integrated rescue system set out for Údolní Street in Prague 4, where part of the house collapsed. According to police spokesman Jan Rybanský, it was supposed to be about a quarter of the building.
The house is currently under renovation. “According to initial information, no one was in the house during the fall,” said Daniel Fík, who coordinates the activities of the integrated rescue system. No one was supposed to be under the rubble.
This was later confirmed. “The reconnaissance of the dogs was negative. Most of the units have returned to their bases and the survey is now being surveyed by a structural engineer,” firefighters said after nine o’clock in the evening.
According to a TV Nova reporter who was on the scene, people were evacuated from the area due to a possible gas leak. An emergency vehicle from water supply accidents also arrived. “Police officers in Údolní Street closed the traffic on both sides,” Rybanský added.
The fall of part of the house was apparently caused by unprofessional manipulation during the reconstruction.
