“Interview”: Maxim Liksutov – about the development of transport in the future
Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Maxim Liksutov said that the city authorities plan to pay off wage arrears to workers of the former Renault Russia plant. He said this in an interview with Moscow 24 TV channel.
“The mayor of the city decided that this plant should actually become a city enterprise. “All those who worked there, you received all the wage arrears that we inherited, and the subsequent assembly of a new car before the end of the year,” said Liksutov.
According to the deputy mayor, about 4,000 employees worked at the plant, and about 40,000 more in other regions of Russia were engaged in the supply of components for it.
Liksutov also announced plans for the production of passenger cars and all components for them at the Moskvich automobile plant.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin said that cars under the Moskvich brand are produced at the Moscow Renault plant. According to preliminary data, classic cars with an internal combustion engine will begin to be produced first, and electric cars in the future.
