Monaco: Tchouaméni, Fabregas… A midfielder to rebuild?
Aurélien Tchouaméni is on the shelves of the biggest European clubs. Its future seems to lie abroad. The Frenchman is not the only one concerned by a departure in the midfield of Monaco, since Cesc Fabregas should join him in MLS.
Coveted by the biggest clubs in Europe, Aurélien Tchouaméni should leave the Rock in the coming weeks. The French international has notably influenced the season of the Philippe Clément team. The Rouen native took part in 49 matches in all competitions.
Under contract until June 2024, the French international has an exit voucher for a sum of around 80 million euros. According to the Spanish press, Real Madrid are in the process of signing again. The merengue club would be in the fight with Liverpool for his signature. As for the PSG, it now seems to be in withdrawal on its file. As it stands, the Parisians would not have the funds to bring him in. Trained in Bordeaux, Aurélien Tchouaméni was recruited for 18 million euros in January 2020, which augurs well for the Monegasques.
Fabregas is closing in on MLS…
Cesc Fabregas has meanwhile confirmed that he will not extend his commitment with ASM in the coming weeks. The 2010 world champion could join the ranks of an MLS club, is revealed TdF. The former Barcelonan would have touches with David Beckham’s Inter Miami and the Los Angeles Galaxy: his representatives were asking for a two-season lease.
Recruited in January 2019, the native of Arenys de Mar has never managed to be regular, in the principality. The Spaniard has accumulated no less than 10 serious injuries, which caused him to miss 60 games. This season, for example, he was hit in the hamstring and ankle, and he only participated in 6 small games, in all competitions.
ASM ended its season in a cannonball. But like those of its competitors, its leaders will have to rework certain areas of play during the transfer window. The departure of Aurélien Tchouaméni promises in particular to be difficult to compensate for in the middle of the field.
