This weekend, our U15s went to Challes-les-Eaux to compete in the Final 4 of the French Pool B championship.
From Saturday morning, they were present on the ground to take their bearings before their semi-final against the Parisians of Levallois.
5:15 p.m., time for the semi-final, our Dijonnais start their match with stress and emotions. This benefits Levallois who creates a first gap (6-18). In the 2nd quarter, carried by a Theo Moussa of the great days, the JDA fell behind to come back to 37-37 at the break.
The second half is like the second half of the season. A steamroller starts up and the gap grows from minute to minute.
With only 21 points conceded in the second half, the JDA won 82-58 and continued its series of 11 consecutive victories before appearing in the final of the French championship against Le Mans.
Sunday May 15, 2022, 3:30 p.m., start of the grand finale. As usual, fear and emotions, smoke the top early in the game. Le Mans took advantage of this and inflicted a 10-0 in 2’30.
The Dijon team does not panic and remains united. Despite a poor first half, our young boys were able to round their backs and are ahead at the break, 44-43.
Like the day before, the stress and emotions remained in the locker room, it is time to make history.
Led by an Ewen Pieau in all the right moves, the score is gaining momentum in our favor. The end of the match is a lesson in composure, captain Timéo Merce-Guyot seals the victory on the free throw line.
Final score: 85-74. The U15s of the JDA Dijon Bourgogne are champions of France.
