Afghan refugees evacuated by the army are denied Belgian protection
In August 2021, the Belgian army evacuated more than 1,400 Afghans after the capture of Kabul by the Taliban. Profiles a priori handpicked and eligible for the granting of international protection. Nine of them have however already seen their file failed, “for lack of favorable elements”.
