RTL Today – On our roads: A seriously injured biker near Christnach
Serious accident on Luxembourg roads on Saturday afternoon. A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident which occurred near Christnach. Three other people were injured on our roads and three fires also broke out overnight.
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident which occurred around 5.30 p.m. on Saturday between Savelborn and Freckeisen. The rescuers specify that he would have fallen on the CR356.
An ambulance, three fire engines, the Samu and a psychological support group were mobilized to the scene of the accident.
The injured man was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital. We don’t know more at this point.
THREE BLESSED
A first accident was reported to the emergency services around 5.15 p.m. on the road between Insenborn and Arsdorf. A car was damaged and its driver injured. Rescuers from Redange and Alebesch intervened on the spot.
Shortly before 6 p.m., a motorcyclist fell between Brouch and Bech. He was taken care of by the emergency services of Echternach and Consdorf.
Finally, around 9 p.m., a car hit a tree on the N8 between Hobscheit and Saeul. The driver was injured and taken care of by firefighters and paramedics from Steinfort and Hobscheit.
THREE FIRES
Three fires were reported overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The first took place in Niederkorn in the Hondsbesch gallery. According to 112, a pile of junk was on fire. It is the firefighters of Sanem-Differdange who are responsible for bringing the fire under control.
The second fire of the night broke out in a kitchen in Luxembourg on rue Pierre Krier. It broke out around 1 a.m. and mobilized a lot of personnel. Firefighters from Luxembourg and Hesperange were sent to the scene as well as two ambulances and the Samu.
The third and final fire of the night also took place in the Luxembourg capital. The 112 specifies that he declared himself in the rue Alphonse Weicker around 2:45 a.m. and that it was a meat grinder that caught fire. The Luxembourg fire brigade and an ambulance were again mobilized.
