With the Shareat app discounts in restaurants in Genoa and Liguria

More and more often it happens to be in a restaurant and see customers, who, once they have received the dish from the waiter, do not pounce on their dishes but immediately delight in taking pictures of the dish ordered from all possible angles, and then share them on social. Through this simple action, which has now become a routine for many, the average Instagram user generates an advertisement for the club, which is seen by about 300 followers.

Starting from the analysis of this phenomenon, a team of young Genoese has developed an app, which will allow locals to control and encourage advertising. The project was developed by coming into close contact with Ligurian locals, understanding their needs and then developing a service that was able to bring them closer to their customers, who are now increasingly digital and social.

This new service represents an opportunity for Ligurian locals, who are restarting after a very difficult period and wish to encourage consumption on the spot. Through the SharEat app, the customer will take the photo of the dish, share it on the Instagramries (tagging the restaurant page) and will receive an immediate reward at the cashier. The managers of restaurants, bars, pizzerias and fast food restaurants will thus be able to increase the visibility of their premises and attract customers on certain days (by configuring rewards on days with less turnout).

But how was the project born? “The opportunity to start experimenting with this idea was to participate in the Sim university competition, included in the marketing course of the Department of Economics. The support of Professor Nicoletta Buratti (teacher of the course), of Doctor Elena Sparago (consultant marketing company) and Davide Siri (San Paolo Invest, sponsor of the competition) encouraged us to get involved and believe in ourselves and in our ideas “, comments Gianluca Magagnoli (co-founder SharEat and Management student at the faculty of Economy of Unige).

The application will be available on the App Store and Play Store from the beginning of June. It will be completely free for customers, while restaurateurs will sign up for a monthly subscription (without restrictions and after a free period of three months).
