PSG: Rafael Leao would move away from AC Milan
While he would discuss a contract extension with his club, the Portuguese Rafael Leão would be far from an agreement with his current club. Which could benefit PSG, on the lookout in the file.
According to information relayed by the Italian newspaper called Corriere della Serra, the negotiations between the 22-year-old striker and the leader of Serie A are tense. Indeed, in recent weeks, the Italian club had offered a contract extension to Rafael Leão, with an annual salary of 4.5 million euros, triple what the striker is currently earning, and the clan of the former Lille had seemed to be satisfied with this proposal. But lately, his agent, the Portuguese Jorge Mendes, would have asked for a raise, partly because Paris Saint-Germain would have entered the dance for his colt. Capable of offering huge salaries to its recruits, the club in the capital of France could ask Rafael Leão’s agent to be more demanding with AC Milan. A tactic that could pay off … for PSG.
Indeed, the champion club of France would be willing to make an important offer to the Italian club for the left winger, of the order of 70 million euros. A little more than the market value of the player (50 million), according to the specialized site transfer market. A large sum, which AC Milan would be willing to accept if the player were to fall out with his leaders about his extension. If the expiry of Rafael Leão’s contract is far away (June 2024), a major proposal may not arise in the future, and the transalpine formation could therefore seize the opportunity to make an interesting capital gain on the ex-LOSC and Sporting CP striker, recruited in 2019 for 29.50 million euros.
Five-time Portuguese international Rafael Leão has scored 13 goals and provided 9 assists in 40 games in all competitions this season.
