Successful fight evening in Cologne – Hammerhart! Christina and Radovan win – boxing
Around 1,300 fans in Cologne’s Satory Hall were enthusiastic about the performance of the Wasserman boxers. There were victories for Christina Hammer and Denis Radovan in the main fights.
However, Christina Hammer had more trouble than expected with the Russian Luiza Davydova. But: Clean boxing looks different. The Russian was just looking to get past the eight laps, which she eventually did. It was more wrestling than boxing by Davydova. Hammer won all rounds.
Denis Radovan made short work of middleweight and defended his IBF European Championship title by TKO in the second round against Rafael Bejaran from Hamburg. Wasserman boxing boss Kalle Sauerland is now announcing a world championship chance for Radovan. A World Cup final fight against Patrick Wojcicki is possible first. An interesting stable duel, no doubt. Because Wolfsburg’s Wojcicki also boxes for Wasserman.
Bejaran manager Thomas Nissen: “An unbelievable liver hook from Radovan made the decision. Our corner then threw in the towel. However, Rafael wants to continue boxing.”
Sophie Alisch from Berlin celebrated a victory on points. Early success for Frankfurt’s Leon Bunn.
