Due to a high altitude low, moist air masses are pushing towards Austria. The result: the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the coming days will increase.

Am Tuesday After a mostly friendly start, cumulus clouds quickly form again and the risk of showers and thunderstorms increases in the mountains. Apart from that, it will often remain dry at first, but showers and isolated thunderstorms will spread to the lowlands as the day progresses. The wind is generally weak and the temperatures rise to 16 to 23 degrees.
Increasing risk of thunderstorms
Of the Wednesday brings few changes. After the dissolution of residual clouds or high fog areas, the sun appears at times, preferably in the lowlands. However, cumulus clouds quickly form again and the first thunderstorms break out, especially in the mountains. Larger amounts of rain can also fall locally in a short time. In the course of the afternoon, these will spread to large parts of the country, with the south-east likely to remain dry. In addition, a moderate east to north-east wind will blow, the maximum values will be between 15 and 23 degrees.
Am Thursday it starts on the north side of the Alps and up to the Mühlviertel with local rain showers in the day. In the course of the day, however, the sun shows up at least at times, and it even shines frequently in the south and east. In the humid air, however, the chance of showers and thunderstorms is increasing again, locally stronger thunderstorms are also possible. Of the Friday beginning with a lot of clouds and especially on the north side of the Alps with some showers and thunderstorms, from Upper Carinthia to southern Burgenland, but mostly dry. During the course of the day, clouds continue to dominate, the sun appears only occasionally and showers and isolated thunderstorms descend. In addition, there is usually a weak to moderate wind blowing from northerly directions and the temperatures drop somewhat at 13 to 20 degrees, with the highest values in the south-east.
