Philippe Cochet leaves his place to Bastien Joint (LR) on the 5th of the Rhône
After leaving doubt, the mayor of Caluire-et-Cuire finally gives up running for the legislative elections.
Philippe Cochet (LR) has indeed decided to leave his place to Bastien Joint, one of the municipal councilors of his majority. “Following the presidential election, I think that on the occasion of the legislative elections on 12th and 19th June next we must elect a new generation of elected Republicans on the ground with real convictions, who are familiar with the problems and the expectations of the French“, explains the city councilor who had failed in the second round of the previous parliamentary elections.
Aged 27, Bastien Joint will therefore represent the “gathering of the right, the center and civil society” in June in the 5th district of the Rhône (cantons of Caluire, Limonest and Neuville-sur-Saône). Philippe Cochet sees in him the representative of “this efficient, hard-working, positive and attentive generation“.
The candidate hopes to work for the 5th of the Rhône to find “a dynamic, an attractiveness, a conviviality and a political recognition at the service of all its inhabitants“.
