Ivaylo Mirchev: Gas is coming, Bulgaria is not on its knees before Putin ᐉ News from Fakti.bg – Bulgaria
“Democratic Bulgaria” submitted a proposal to send weapons to Ukraine for a long time and a long time to the partners, nor to understand ours and to join it. We are glad that this is a fact.
This was stated to BNT by Ivoylo Mirchev, MP from “Democratic Bulgaria” and Deputy Chairman of the Energy Committee in the National Assembly.
Providing military-technical assistance in Ukraine – and this is quite clear. No one has ever said that this is free aid, he said.
It is perfectly normal to give Ukraine the necessary governance. It is a civilizational choice for us to help. From what we have as information, Ukraine is ready to pay for these weapons.
The proposals of GERB and DB are very close. Tomorrow we will decide how to vote, Mirchev added.
“Democratic Bulgaria” has been working for two months to unite everyone for this weapon. The decision will obviously be loud, he said.
After the votes are over, the decision goes to the Council of Ministers and there is already a dialogue between the parties. My personal opinion is that there will be no disintegration of the coalition and no early elections.
Bulgaria has been receiving gas from Russia for many years and paying in dollars. In April, he pays in dollars and on the basis of the letter, which receives many questions that are unclear. The communication is clear. Bulgaria and the Russian side are not fulfilling obligations corresponding to Mirchev’s payment regarding the suspended supplies of Russian gas.
On April 27 the gas stopped – the talk then was to light the candles, now we will reduce the water temperature, the buses will be diluted … However, on the fifth day the gas continues to flow in the pipes and most of all – there is no change in price. The government has been preparing for all this for a long time, Mirchev is adamant.
There are one good and two bad scenarios, Mirchev answered.
The good thing is that the price of gas should be about 10-20% lower. The bad ones are to be 20% more expensive when the market price increases and the second bad scenario is to cut off gas for the whole of Europe. This is already driving prices crazy and the decision of Mirchev no longer depends on the Bulgarian government.
Gas is coming, Bulgaria is not on its knees before Putin and is not praying to release the gas, the MP from “Democratic Bulgaria” is categorical.
