Five addresses for a gourmet brunch in Belgium

Sugar Mizzy May 1, 2022

Bruneau by Maxime Maziers

Every first Sunday of the month, Maxime Maziers delights his guests with a most luxurious brunch. On the table of this historic gourmet Brussels address located near the Koekelberg Basilica, you can find Sunday brunch essentials (pastries, cheese cart, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon…), but also more original dishes such as linguini with caviar, sea bass in a salt crust, a whole beef cuberoll… Be careful to leave a little room for dessert. The chef and his team prepare fine and delicate desserts (Paris-Brest, millefeuille, etc.). You will be stuck for the whole day!

The address? A V. Broustin 75, 1083 Ganshoren, €85 per person. Book here.

Out of the Fields by Stefan Jacobs

This Sunday, May 1, Stefan Jacobs and his team have concocted a tasty program for you: brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., designer market from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and aperitif concert until 7 p.m. On the menu, pastries (including brown sugar croissants that catch our eye), gourmet French toast, sourdough bread, smoked trout, vegetables from the garden and homemade charcuterie. The creators’ market will showcase the talents of the region, the ideal spot to unearth a Mother’s Day gift (which will take place the following Sunday!). If you are unable to reserve a table, don’t panic, following the many positive reactions caused by this event, the chef is already planning to organize other brunches.

The address? Chaussée de Wavre 170, 5030 Gembloux, €35 per person. Reservation via [email protected]

The Brussels’Kitchen Brunch Club

This is the favorite meeting place for “taste-for-alls” who like to discover new cuisines! For those who are not yet familiar with this tasty concept imagined by Chloé Roose: every month, the Brunch Club brings together 7 culinary talents from the Brussels scene around an entirely vegetarian menu, all accompanied by fresh fruit juice, coffee or more spritz. For this spring, the Brunch Club is settling in the bewitching room of the Auberge des Maïeurs (in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre). Building on its success, the Brunch Club is sold out until June, but we advise you to follow Brussels’Kitchen on Instagram to find out about the next summer dates!

The price ? 50€ per person. Reservation via Brussels’Kitchen.

The Hotel Selys in Liège

Whether you live in Liège or have planned a getaway to the sparkling Cité ardente, Hôtel Sélys is the perfect place for brunch in an elegant space. Presented in the form of an all-you-can-eat buffet, the Sélys brunch will delight young and old alike. Alongside the classic pastries, cheese platter and charcuterie, the establishment offers some healthier alternatives. Hôtel Sélys also regularly organizes themed brunches, such as for Mother’s Day.

The address? Mont Saint-Martin 9-11, 4000 Liège, €40.50 per person. Find an overview of upcoming events here.

Brut O Dome

Located near the Soignes forest, this gastronomic establishment offers seasonal, organic, local cuisine and, as far as possible, zero-waste. Every Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the chef and his team get down to brunch time. For the occasion, the chef offers you a tapas formula. Thus, alongside waffles, yogurt, pancakes and other brunch essentials, you will find a menu of original dishes to share such as knife risotto, smoked veal and its full-bodied jus or even mackerel with beetroot.

The address? Hot. de Waterloo 15, 1640 Rhode-Saint-Genèse, reservation on 02 319 02 27.
