Russia for the first time launched a missile attack on the consequences in Ukraine with a submarine
The Russian military command announced that for the first time in the war with Ukraine, it used the submarine fleet to strike at the enemy.
The Russian Defense Ministry says ground targets in Ukraine this week were hit by Kalibr cruise missiles fired from a diesel submarine approaching the Black Sea.
The statement was accompanied by the publication of video footage that was in a warehouse of missiles that were launched directly from under the water at an unidentified location.
Western experts are concerned that every time new branches of the armed forces emerge in a lateral war, this could transfer the risk of an escalation of the conflict.
The British Ministry of Defense confirmed two days ago that the Russian Black Sea Fleet, despite the withdrawal from construction of the fleet cruiser Moskva, remains the potential for detecting attacks on land targets in Ukraine. According to British estimates, about 20 ships and submarines of the Russian Navy are now on combat duty in the Black Sea. However, as noted, the Ministry of Defense will need resources to complete this flotilla from Russia, at present there is no possibility, since the Bosphorus Strait, which connects the Black Sea with the Mediterranean, closes any warships except Turkish for passage.
