Innsbruck’s top scorer is looking for a club! – Hockey-News.info
He was one of the big surprises of the past ICEHL season. Innsbruck striker Tim McGauley played an outstanding season in Tirol and moved to Germany at the end of the season. Now he’s back on the market.
Canadian Tim McGauley played in the WHL for five years with the Brandon Wheat Kings, spending four seasons back and forth between the ECHL and the AHL. At the start of the 2020/21 season, the 26-year-old moved to Norway.
For Stjernen Hockey he scored eleven goals in 24 games and prepared another 23 goals. This is how the HCI became aware of him and signed the center last summer. A real stroke of luck for the Haie, as already became apparent at the beginning of the season.
In Innsbruck, the Canadian made 47 appearances in which he scored 50 points (19 goals and 31 assists). So he was also the top scorer for the sharks. With this impressive season, he also recommended himself for the DEL.
Shortly before the end of the regular season, ERC Ingolstadt secured McGauley’s services. There he found it difficult to find his way into the team. In the drawn 15 games of the regular season, he only scored two points. A goal and an assist followed in two play-off games.
As the Ingolstadt-based company is now announcing, McGauley’s guest appearance will only have been short. He does not receive a contract for the coming season and is therefore available on the market again.
