Exciting team line-up at the TePe Sigeman & Co tournament in Sweden
A wonderful mix of players
The long-standing TePe Sigeman & Co tournament will take place on May 3-9 at Malmö Live Concert Hall in Malmö, the Nordic region’s sixth largest city. Once again, the organizers have focused on inviting fighting players, to maximize the enjoyment for the spectators.
This year, eight grandmasters from eight different countries will fight in a single round-robin event. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with 30 seconds step from move 1. According to the ‘Malmö rules’, no draws are allowed before move 40.
From Tuesday, there will be daily rounds until next Monday, with no rest days included in the tournament. With the exception of rounds 5 and 7, the action starts at 15.00 CET.

Do not miss the opportunity to visit Malmö Live to follow the matches guided by our commentators, Swedish GM Stellan Brynell and Dutch GM Erwin l’Ami. For those who do not have the opportunity to visit the gaming hall, it will of course be possible to follow all matches live on the Internet.

And Action! – How to crown positional games with tactics
There are few names that, like Alexei Shirovs, can be associated with fantastically imaginative and tactically influenced play. Now the Latvian Grandmaster presents a DVD about that part of the game of chess. And one that is entirely based on his own game.
