Thessaloniki: Burglar breaks into shops without hiding his face – Grabs what he finds [βίντεο]
Barrage of burglaries and thefts in stores in Thessaloniki have been noted in recent days by a specific person.
The perpetrator buzzes undisturbed in shops without, in fact, hiding his facial features, which have been recorded by security cameras in at least three different cases.
The perpetrator broke into two stores in the area of the center of Thessaloniki in the early hours of Easter Sunday, while he knocked again on Thursday in a store in Polichni. Speaking to Voria.gr, Tassos Georgopoulos, night owner at 21 Egnatia Street, states that the perpetrator tried to differentiate the store at around 12:30 pm, and caused damage to the locks as well as a small part of the window. However, the burglar did not manage to break into the store and, as Mr. Georgopoulos notes, he allegedly continued his efforts a little later in a different store in the city center.
According to information from Voria.gr, the man himself proceeded in the early hours of Easter Sunday and to break into a patisserie on Antigonidon Street, from where he extracted a sum of money. And in this case it was recorded by security cameras.
Finally, on Thursday morning, the perpetrator struck again in Polichni, where at 7:45 he struck a store of decorative and unique handicrafts. In the beginning to break the lock of the third store with a lottery. Then, he broke part of the glass and thus managed to unlock the lock. He stole a small amount of money from the store, about 20-30 euros, and as soon as the alarm rang he fled.
The perpetrator in all three cases appears to be wearing the same attire, even the same hat, and makes no attempt to hide his facial features. “I am sure that the police are doing their job very well, but the issue is stuck in Justice, as, after being collected, the perpetrators are free after 2-3 months with suspension”, stresses Mr. Georgopoulos, who adds that “before we are still leaving the courts, they are leaving (the perpetrators) “.
