Strasbourg/PSG and Marseille/Lyon for Europe
During the 35th day of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain (1st, 78 pts) travels to Strasbourg (6th, 56 pts) for a gala match on the Parisian side but important for Europe on the Strasbourg side. The meeting between the Olympiques Lyonnais and Marseille is also decisive: OM can get closer to 2nd place and OL can still hope to grab a European place.
Program of the day and current ranking.
PSG still have a role to play
PSG, now champion of the day without surprise since the previous one, travels to Strasbourg at the start of the day. And for the people of Strasbourg, all the points taken will be important as they fight to qualify in one of the European competitions. With a victory, the Strasbourg residents will return to 4th place, level on points with Monaco and Rennes before their respective matches. If they don’t want to wait for them to falsify the championship, the Parisians will therefore have to play correctly, but we would also like to finally see young people having real playing time.
In the race for Europe, the Olympico between OL and OM is very important: OM must confirm their 2nd place to qualify directly for the Champions League, while OL, currently 8th, have still a small chance of grabbing a qualifying place but you have to take points from this Sunday evening then chain against Metz, Nantes and Clermont on the last days.
Rennes, Monaco and Nice, who are also fighting for Europe, are all a priori favorites in their meeting of the day. Rennes and Nice even face Saint-Etienne and Bordeaux, two clubs fighting to stay in Ligue 1.
