Agria Dog Walk 2022 – walk for homeless dogs
Finally, it’s soon time for the Dog Promenade which gathers thousands of pawing paws all over the country again! For the fifth year in a row, Agria Dyreforsikring invites all dog owners to go on a charity trip. The dog walk takes place on 21 and 22 May and the money goes in full to Solplassen, relocation and rest home for ownerless dogs.
Agria Dog Walk is organized simultaneously in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, England, France and Germany for income for various voluntary dog organizations in Europe.
What is the dog walk?
You can participate in Agria Hundepromenade 2022 no matter where you live in the country, just remember to sign up for you and your dog first. Whether you want to go May 21 or 22, which route you go and whether you want to go alone or with other dog friends is up to you. I add to individual participants set up 6 of the country’s dog clubs and teams up and arrange joint trips.
Anyone who has a dog can participate
You do not need to have insurance in Agria to take part in the charity trip. All dog owners can participate in the Dog Walk. It is free to participate, while Agria Dyreforsikring donates NOK 10 per participant couple (owner + dog) to Solplassen.
– The dog walk is one of the absolute highlights of the year for all of us who work in Agria. We want to see that social media is covered by satisfied owners and dogs on a trip across the country and that we beat last year’s record of 3400 participating couples. Maybe we can reach a full 5000 this year? Then it will be a good coincidence with money that will benefit the ownerless dogs at Solplassen, says Marianne Broholm Einarsen, CEO of Agria Dyreforsikring.
Solplassen
Solplassen is a relocation and rest home for ownerless dogs. It is a voluntary organization run by enthusiasts who want to give the dogs another chance. At Solplassen, hundreds live temporarily waiting for a new home. Some older dogs also live there quickly.
