Last Sunday at the Municipal Theater of Sogliano, the inauguration and award ceremony of the photographic competition “The soul of trees” was held, a project carried out by the Il Borgo Odoroso – Monteleone – FC Association with the collaboration of the Soglianese Photographic Association and of San Marino and the Montefeltro Green Festival. On stage he presented Ada Grilli, president of the Association, while the president of the Jury, Vito Buccellato Savalli, was absent. Also on stage the Mayor Tania Bocchini and the Councilor for Culture Erica Comandini to Gabriele Geminiani, patron of San Marino and Montefeltro Green Festival who, as part of the awards ceremony, awarded the two special prizes of the festival to the selected photos, giving the authors editorial gifts and a limited edition T-shirt with a screen print by the DEM artist, a cultural operation conducted thanks to the support of Ecologia Sammarinese (in the photo the awarding of Helena Brigliadori by Gabriele Geminiani). The awarded works will become part of the Sustainable Archives, a permanent collection of the festival’s artworks on the subject of sustainability which is based in Sogliano, at the Casa Sambi International Center for Peace. “A decidedly positive balance for the turnout of participants in the competition and today attendance at the awards ceremony – says Gabriele Geminiani who continues – These are extraordinary numbers if we think about the period and the decentralized place of the initiative. Enhancement of inland territories and collaborations with other cultural realities but, bringing people closer to trees, fall within the spirit and guidelines of our festival above all. A heartfelt thanks then for having opened the door to this wonderful experience, in Borgo Odoroso in the people of Ada Grilli, Manuela Gori, Mauro Gilberto Pompili and Lura Mino and to the Ass. Photographic Soglianese. ” At the end of the big awards ceremony, a guided tour of the Sustainable Archives was organized.
