Russia is stepping up the pace of the offensive operation in Ukraine
This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk.
According to him, there is intense fire in almost all regions of Russia. Particularly active hostilities are taking place in the Kharkov and Donetsk regions.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, it aims to provide natural needs for full control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as ensuring the possibility of a land corridor in the annexed Crimea.
Russian troops have taken control of the coast of the Sea of Azov, but, according to the Ukrainian side, the de facto corridor does not yet exist, because the roads pass through Mariupol, part of which is still under the control of Ukrainian troops.
Russian troops, judging by reports from the front, are sending a compressor to encircle Ukrainian forces in the Donbass – in the areas of the cities of Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Severodonetsk.
As representatives of the ministry noted, they operate jointly with the north, from the Kharkiv region, and from the south, from the Zaporozhye region. The pace of progress, however, is slow. In a month, Russian troops advanced about 20-30 kilometers, and there was no success in achieving the advance.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, military operations are expected and intensified in the annex of Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog.
