Escapade in Quercy for the historic train of Toulouse
Saturday May 7, the volunteers of the Historic Train of Toulouse offer a nice outing in Quercy. For this round trip, the convoy will take the Toulouse-Paris line as far as Cahors station, as the prestigious “Le Capitole” train has traveled for many years.
In the morning, after visiting the Pont Valentré, a medieval masterpiece, the public will board the boat of the same name for a commented river cruise on the Lot. Then it will be time to eat. Depending on the prior choice, picnic (to take away yourself as in the past in the wicker basket) or meal at the restaurant “La Chartreuse” on the banks of the Lot.
During the afternoon, it will be possible to visit the railway museum of Saint-Géry, deployed along the old Cahors-Capdenac line and stroll through the alleys of one of the most beautiful villages in France: Saint Cirq Lapopie. Departure from Toulouse-Matabiau at 8:32 am. Stations served: Castelnau d’Estretefonds, Montauban and Caussade. Return to Toulouse scheduled for 9:40 p.m.
