Swiss Press Award – Schaffhausen local reporter honored for research into old people’s homes – News
- The co-editor of the weekly newspaper “Schaffhauser AZ”, Mattias Greuter, is Swiss press journalist of the year.

- Denis Balibous is Photographer of the Year – he captured the meeting between Biden and Putin in Geneva in a photo festival.
“Someone has to close this home” was the title of the first article and the start of a series in which Greuter described the serious grievances in the “Hand in Hand” nursing home in Neunkirch SH a year ago.
It was about hygiene, care mistakes, alcohol and drug abuse, manipulated bills and neglected residents.
«Journalism with impact»
According to the statement, Greuter took a lot of time to verify the claims made by the various sources. He was cautious in his research and proceeded with the “due restraint”. After the home closed, he campaigned for the employees who had been eliminated.
