In Belgium, Kiabi launches the test phase of the VIP test cabin
Available with e-reservations, Kiabi’s VIP test cabin entered its test phase on Wednesday April 27 at the Kiabi Médiacité in Liège. The objective is to guarantee customers a personalized and faster service.
The concept of “24-hour e-reservation” makes it possible to select items online and then try them on in store before paying for them. The service is free and already available in all Kiabi stores in Belgium. Kiabi Médiacité is taking it to the next level by launching the VIP test cabin and the fast checkout.
“We rely on technological developments to support changes in our customers’ consumption habits. At the same time, this e-reservation is a strategic tactic to convert single-channel customers into omni-channel customers (…) If our customers appreciate this service, we would like to introduce the idea in the seven other stores present in Belgium,” Kiabi CEO Jérôme Calonne said in a statement.
Kiabi has seen its online sales increase significantly in recent years. In 2022, the brand hopes for additional growth of 16 percent and up to a third (29 percent) of its turnover by 2025. In this context, Kiabi plans to develop this segment with the launch of a second-hand sales site as well as a personalized clothing workshop.
